RocketStrong
Nine years ago, RocketStrong was born.
At 14, I was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer called Chondrosarcoma. After two brain surgeries and over 20 hours in the operating room at Stanford Children’s Hospital — and with the love and prayers of my family, friends, and community — I made a full recovery.
Earlier this year, the cancer returned. In January, doctors discovered a new tumor wrapped around my right carotid artery. Just last month, I underwent another major surgery at Duke University Hospital in North Carolina. Thanks to an incredible medical team, the tumor was removed while preserving my artery and nerve functions. I’m deeply grateful to share that the surgery was successful.
Now, I’m heading home to Hawaiʻi to rest and heal — before beginning the next phase of my treatment in August at the New York Proton Center, where I will undergo eight weeks of daily proton radiation therapy.
To help support this journey, I’ve launched the RocketStrong Capsule Collection — available now for preorder. This collection gives me the space to focus on healing while continuing to create the fashion and storytelling I love. I hope it brings awareness, connection, and strength to anyone walking their own healing path.
Mahalo nui for all the love, prayers, and support you’ve shared over the years.
With deep gratitude and aloha,
– Rocket
